The average American throws away 5 pounds of trash a day—but you can help reduce that by composting your food scraps! All ten FCPA markets now accept scraps, turning them into nutrient-rich compost. Fairfax County residents ages 60+ may qualify for the Virginia Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP), which provides $50 to use on fresh fruits and vegetables at our farmers markets.
