Fall fest lovers, rejoice! Join the Friends of Ellanor C. Lawrence Park for a can’t-miss fall fest featuring Live music by The Walkaways & Kentucky Avenue and local foods and beverages brought to you by ODD BBQ, District Small Bites, ONO Brewery and River Sea Chocolates. Explore regional artisans and vendors and enjoy nature crafts with our naturalists.

Celebrate Archeology at Arctoberfest

 

Celebrate archeology month with fun demonstrations are throughout the event. Explore the archaeological trail with our experienced staff archaeologists, learn about the skills archeologists need and see some high-tech tools of the trade. Activities are family friendly and include a create your own take home craft.

Dig Into Fun!

Craft the Perfect Cider at Colvin Run Mill

 

Gather up to eight friends or family members and experience the magic of cider making at Colvin Run Mill. In a private session, you’ll learn to use an old-fashioned cider press and create your own cider—just bring 100 apples and two, one-gallon containers. Sessions are available on Saturdays and Sundays in October for $60. Don’t miss this unique fall experience! 


 

Craft Your Cider

Farm Harvest Festival-Big Trucks, Carnival Rides and Fall Fun!

 

Join us at Frying Pan Farm Park from Friday, October 18 through Sunday, October 20 for the Farm Harvest Festival, featuring Big Truck Night, carnival rides, games and tasty fair food! Enjoy unlimited ride specials on Friday night or Sunday for $25, or grab individual tickets on Saturday for even more fall fun. Enjoy pony rides on Sunday! Parking is just $10 per day, so bring the family and celebrate the season with us!

Meet the wonderful creatures who call our park home. Play games and get up close with a touch table! Next roast s'mores at a campfire while listening to stories and then take a stroll through the darkening autumn woods.

Ghost Town, No Screams, Just Treats!

 

Get ready for a full day of fun at Burke Lake Park’s Ghost Town! Enjoy themed activities, a train ride, carousel, crafts, mini golf and a bounce house—all with no scares, just treats. Join the fun and make it a Halloween to remember!

Fall Community Open House

 

Step back in time and embrace the fall weather at the Sully Historic Site’s Fall Community Open House. Discover historic demonstrations like wool spinning, butter-making and food preservation techniques. Get creative with pumpkin painting, candle making and crafting corn husk dolls. Don't miss out on this family-friendly event!
